Where is Bodegas Muga and how can I make contact for visits?

Bodegas Muga is in Avda. Vizcaya, 2 (Barrio de la Estación), 26200 Haro, La Rioja. Prior booking of visits is essential, contact for de visits: 941 30 60 60 and visitas@bodegasmuga.com. General enquiries: 941 31 18 25 e info@bodegasmuga.com. Access to tours and the wine shop is by the lower roundabout of the tower, with parking and adapted access facilities.

What is the standard tour like and what are the conditions?

The guided tour is available from Monday to Saturday, lasts approx 90minutes and includes the sampling of 3 wines (30€/person). No access is allowed once a tour has begun, no children under 12 or pets permitted. Cancellation with less than 48 hours notice will not be refunded.

What does the “Tour + Initiation to tasting Class” include?

It costs 60€/person and includes the guided tour and the teaching material in the Tasting Classroom of the Torre Muga Space. No children under 18 or pets are allowed; the same policy on punctuality and cancellations applies.

What other wine tourism experiences are offered?

As well as the tour and the tasting class, there are eBike rides through the vineyards (with picnic), Segway rides, balloon flights and a Premium Plus Tour for groups, as well as the gift card option.

Where are online purchases sent to and what are the costs/delivery times?

Dispatches are made to the Spanish Peninsula and the Balearic Islands (not to post boxes).
Maximum delivery times: 10 working days península / 15 Balearics.
Costs: 5.87€ – península) / 19.00€ Balearics.
Free for purchases over 75€ – península / 99€ Balearics.

How do you buy wines from the online store? What are the methods of payment?

There is no minimum order, but wines are sold in boxes of 3 or cases of 6 or 12 bottles.
Payment by card or Bizum. The payment process is conducted via a secure gateway (HTTPS).

What makes Muga’s production process unique?

Muga uses oak in the entire process and is the only winery in Spain with its own master cooper and three barrel makers. It maintains racking by gravity and fining with egg whites. Cask ageing usually lasts between 24 and 36 months depending on the wine, and afterwards there is bottle ageing (for example, from 9 months for crianza wines up to 36 for Prado Enea Gran Reserva).
